Its been a couple days since I posted. Life gets a little hectic at times. The other day out of no where I said to my husband, "Remember those days when we could just decide to run to the store or somewhere last minute at 9pm?"
Our Son goes to bed around 6:30 or 7 every night and sleeps until 6 the next morning. We are thankful he sleeps 12 hours but he goes to bed really early. We have friends whose kids don't go to bed until after 9 sometimes, so this makes it hard for us to hang out when they want to hang out and do stuff. "Sorry our child will be cranky the whole time." Its even hard to go out to eat with him being at this stage. He gets bored so easily.
I love my child, don't get me wrong. He is amazing. He can make any bad day good. He can help wake up my husband so he isn't so cranky. You cant help but laugh at stuff he does. He makes anyone smile wherever we go. He has the most contagious smile. Its a smile where it almost looks like he just did something naughty. He is on the verge of crawling so he is starting to get into stuff which makes it hard to get upset when you look down and he is smiling with a receipt hanging out of his mouth.
So life before kids? Sure it was fun but a different fun. The joy of raising a child, teaching them, laughing with them, playing with them is worth sacrificing late hangouts with friends or last minute rendezvous. Well worth it.
