Who Invented the Jogging Stroller?
In 1980 the jogging stroller was invented by a man named Phil Baechler. Upon a run with his son tucked into the standard stroller of the day, he realized the difficulties of pushing and jogging simultaneously. So he set about creating a stroller capable of supporting joggers and at first used his own bicycle tires from his garage. After several attempts he finally found that the three-wheel stroller worked best and called it the “Baby Jogger.”
Nice! Now I am going to use mine and go for a walk/jog.

I need to read the small print on things!
So I am trying to get state health for my child in Idaho. Well We dont qualify until March because he is still on in Washington. I went there and had to get a work verification for Gregs work and apparently it was due on the 20th. I was not told this but of course I just need to read that. I am so annoyed with myself because now I have to start all over again. Its my fault and I learned my lesson.

Geez
I am not as up to date on this thing as I thought I would be. I thought I would have a lot of free time to do it now that I am a stay at home mom. Nope! Sam keeps me busy. He is crawling everywhere and pulling himself up on things. I can hardly get anything done cuz I have to watch him at all times. I need to buy one of those play yards. so I can trap him in if I need to get something done. I sure love him though!
Something I learned his week...
Sunday at church was a really good sermon. We went to Lake Pointe again which was awesome. They meet in the pastor's basement. We pull up Sunday morning, after deciding to go last minute due to me being in pain the night before, and the Pastor is standing outside and walks to our car and said "hello! We are so glad you came back!" wow what a greeting! made us feel welcomed definitely.
Anyways, the sermon was on Matthew 7:7-12.
7 Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.
8"For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.
9"Or what man is there among you who, when his son asks for a loaf, will give him a stone?
10"Or if he asks for a fish, he will not give him a snake, will he?
11"If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give what is good to those who ask Him!
12"In everything, therefore, treat people the same way you want them to treat you, for this is the Law and the Prophets.
amazing. The pastor also kept referring to chapter 6 verse 33
33"But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.
So when we ask, seek and knock it should be for his glory not ours. So many times I pray for things selfishly but need to know that its what God has. He isnt going to answer my selfish prayers. My prayers should be asking for things that are to glorify the Lord.
Major conviction this last sunday. Probably good that we ended up going. Something I needed to hear. Its not about what I want. Its about what the Lord wants. He is the one who was before time began. He created us.
Praise the Lord!

The Stapler
Who invented the Stapler?
The inventor of the stapler was Samuel Slocum, with the partnership of John Ireland House. Samuel Slocum's idea for his invention was one day, when his house was a mess, he had an idea for puting all of his papers together in on packet of papers. So he decided to make it happen, and it worked.
Samuel Slocum invented the stapler for holding papers together to make it more easier to hold paper together. In 1841 he patented his idea of sticking pins in a paper to hold them together.
Samuel Slocum died in 1861.
CRAZY!
Today was my last day of work. Sad times but it was a good day and I was able to work with the people I love! Sam is standing up now. Well with the help of things. No quite alone. He can pull himself up though. He is only 8 months old. geez. I am going to have my hands full.

Post Falls
At first when we moved to Post Falls I thought, this is not a very attractive city but its nice and next to CDA. I was so wrong. Stepping outside and looking to your left and there is mountains I can see. Now thats beautiful.
I went for another walk/jog on the Centennial Trail today. I cant jog too fast due to not having a jogging stroller. I am picking one up on Wed though for only $25 off of Craigslist. It looks in good shape. I just need something basic for now while I am getting into the jogging habit. If I ever become a runner then I will invest in a nice one.
My mom always told me I never grew out of the "Why" stage. I am always asking why is this or who thought of that. I think daily I want to learn something new. Along with all my reading I am going to do I want to find out a new fact everyday. Maybe by the time I am 50 I can go on Jepordy! hahahaha.
Well I am off to clean yet again. It really is a daily thing. Specially with a little one. AH!

Settling In
Well, we are moved out to Post Falls. This week has been a bit stressful with the move and a really clingy cranky child. I am not sure but its his new phase. He doesn't like napping when you know he is tired. He will crawl around crying and yet still playing. I would love to nap 2 times a day!
My goals as a stay at home mom are to read my bible more. Get to know the Lord better than I have been. Also to read other books. Ones that make me smarter. hahaha. I used to be into reading psychology but sold all my books when I moved to Spokane for money. I miss those readings. Readings where after you feel like you gained something. I want to read about History. We got rid of cable, but still have an antenna. Its time to start using my time wisely when the little man is asleep for a nap. I want to be knowledgeable for my kids. What if one day I have to home school for some reason? AH!
anyways. That is all for now. I will post more on my readings and other adventures of staying home!
